The Willow Valley Computer Club provides technology resources for residents of Willow Valley Communities. These resources are education, assistance, training, and support. The Computer Club provides these resources in multiple ways, including:
- Monthly meetings that typically include presentations of general interest. These meetings are held the first Thursday of the month, September through June.
- A newsletter that is published every other month. It typically includes a tutorial and updates from our Computer Club Technology Center.
- A Computer Club Technology Center that repairs, recycles, and refurbishes computing devices. Free recycled computers, components, printers, cables, and other peripherals and devices are available to Computer Club members. The volunteer staff also answers questions from walk-in residents. The CCTC is currently open Mondays from 10am to 4pm on the 5th floor of the North’s J building.
- Training courses, which focus on topics such as routers, Bitwarden, or privacy, are offered by instructors. Some courses include hands-on training.
We have a group of volunteers who are willing to assist residents with their questions and problems. You’ll find them under the Get Help Chart on this website.
We also provide a Calendar on this website which displays our monthly programs and our training classes.
We are experimenting with weekly Question and Answer sessions via videoconferencing. The response from residents has been positive. We hope to continue to provide these sessions. In addition, we are exploring other ways to make it easy for residents to get help with their questions and problems.
We invite you to also help us to help residents.
